Tony CheeversGuest Speaker: Tony Cheevers started his career as a sales and marketing leader at global brands like Virgin Atlantic Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Schlumberger SEMA. 

In the advertising world, he played a significant part in the U.S. Army’s "Be All You Can Be" campaign receiving a letter of commendation from the U.S. Department of Defense. He also worked on the "What’s Your Priority" campaign for the U.S. Postal Service, which pushed Priority Mail ahead of other overnight package delivery companies for the first time.

For the past 10 years, as head of Customer Success for Researchscape International, Tony has been focused on collaborating with public relations, communications, marketing and other leaders to tell better, more engaging stories with data.

 

TalanTalan Tyminski, Senior VP at Austin-based PR firm Mach 1 Group, specializes in crisis communication and public affairs, with extensive experience in both public and private sectors, including leadership in the Texas Workforce Commission's COVID-19 crisis response. Recognized nationally as a rising star in PR, she holds a Bachelor's in Political Science and Economics from Bradley University, a Master's in Communication Studies from Texas State University, and is an alumna of the University of Texas at Austin's Lyndon B. Johnson Women's Campaign School. Actively engaged in various organizations supporting women and minority businesses in Austin, she serves on the City of Austin's advisory committee for minority-owned, women-owned, and small business enterprises.
